Welcome to the HumBio Core! I am so excited to get to know you and help you discover your interests, passions, and the many wonderful opportunities that the human biology major has to offer! Thanks to the interdisciplinary nature of the HumBio core, I was able to discover my passions for public health and human physiology, leading me to major in Human Biology with a concentration in Global Public Health and Pathophysiology. At Stanford, I worked as a research assistant in the Stanford Pediatric Emotion and Resilience Lab, as well as in the Human Rights in Trauma Mental Health Lab. I volunteered as a Spanish Interpreter at the Arbor Free Clinic, as a health educator in high school classrooms with Peer Health Exchange, and as a legal advocate at the U.S.-Mexico Border. I also volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Alliance, was a teaching assistant for Global Public Health, and traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico with other Stanford students to study public health. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, crafting, reading, playing the cello, and baking. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions relating to HumBio,  discovering your passions, finding volunteer or research opportunities, or anything else! I can’t wait to meet you!
