Alina Pollner

Heyoo! My name is Alina and I am a senior studying Human Biology and Math. My concentration within Humbio is Aging and Development, which means I get to take a wide range of classes that focus on different parts of our lifespans. I’m also pre-med, and am interested in becoming a primary care physician or geriatrician. My favorite part of Humbio is the flexibility on what classes I take: I like that every class I take I am genuinely excited about! I’m also doing my honors thesis on the genetics behind diabetes and have enjoyed seeing my project progress since my freshman year. 

I’m from San Diego, and I absolutely love anything outside: backpacking, hiking, camping,…you name it. I am on the Stanford Triathlon Team so I spend a good amount of my time either biking, running or swimming. I also lead trips for the Outdoor Center (including SPOT!) and love getting to take people out to the wilderness during the quarter—such a good escape from the stress of life and school!! I’m a huge indie/folk music fan and love listening to Mt. Joy, the Lumineers, or Head and the Heart. Can’t wait to meet y’all!
