Hello and welcome to the HumBio Core! The HumBio Core was one of my favorite experiences at Stanford, and I look forward to making sure it is as fun for you as it was for me. I joined the Core split between wanting to study immunology and wanting to study oncology. The incredible flexibility of the Core meant that I didn’t have to choose; my area of concentration was “Immunology and Oncology,” and I was able to create a major that had plenty of both areas, as well as crossover classes like “Tumor Immunology.” I encourage all of you to take advantage of everything the HumBio Core has to offer; the incredible teachers and faculty I met through the Core were invaluable in helping me improve and complete my honors thesis, and the amount of resources the Core has available to help you in your studies is nothing short of amazing. Outside of academics, I’m a big fan of playing sports (chess is absolutely a sport), and I’m currently on an NBA kick. I’ve also been an avid participant in Stanford’s Chemistry Fraternity, Alpha Chi Sigma, and you might see me performing chemistry experiments outside of Sapp. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to me!
