An interdisciplinary approach to understanding human beings from biological, behavioral, social, and cultural perspectives.
Why Chose HumBio
Dear HumBio Community,
As I sit in my office, looking out at the main quad, I still can't quite believe that we are back. Seeing students walking around, talking, laughing, and getting acquainted with campus once again is an absolute joy. We are back!!
I am delighted to be back in the classroom with our students (all of us masked), getting together and catching up with students and faculty (outside), and getting back to the wonderful work that we all engage in here at Stanford. And I am also excited to celebrate Human Biology turning 50 in person during Stanford Reunion Weekend this October!
We in Human Biology are ready to continue our mission of providing an extraordinary education to extraordinary students back on our beautiful Stanford campus.
Congratulations to HumBio alum Rachel Becker '11 who was awarded first place in outstanding beat reporting (small) from the Society of Environmental Journalists. She was recognized for her work reporting on California's contaminated air, drinking water resources, and wildfires.
