Kayla Myers

Hello and welcome, everyone! My name is Kayla, and I am beyond excited to be one of the student advisors for HumBio this year. I am pursuing a B.S. in Human Biology with a concentration in The Effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Across the Lifecourse, while also minoring in Education under the Teaching & Learning subfield. I was born and raised in a low-income area of Long Island, NY, where I lived with my mom and dad and discovered my passion for health and education equity. These passions continue to drive my academic and extracurricular pursuits, including my role as a pre-clinical volunteer at Stanford’s Cardinal Free Clinic and as co-lead of the Community Support Team at the Black Community Services Center.When I’m not working, you can find me studying with friends at the FLISSC, sampling the weekly flavors at Crumbl, working up a sweat at SoulCycle or Rumble Boxing, or catching up on my favorite reality shows! I’m incredibly grateful for the people I've met and the opportunities I’ve explored through HumBio, and I can’t wait to support you all in your own HumBio journeys!
