Graduation weekend is filled with wonderful activities, visit to Stanford's main commencement website for details on university wide ceremonies.
The HumBio diploma ceremony is on Sunday, beginning at 12:30 in the center of the Main Quad and is followed at 1:30 by a reception with light refreshments in the Main Quad in front of HumBio, Bldg 20.
General Seating: Tickets are not required. Family and friends are welcome! Guest seating for 1400 is available on first come basis. Enjoy this special afternoon by being prepared. We recommend wearing hats and sunblock, staying hydrated and bringing snacks that will sustain you until our post-ceremony reception.
Wheelchair spaces and disability resources: Visit Stanford's main commencement site for disability resources. There will be a section directly behind the graduates in the Human Biology ceremony marked for guests with wheelchairs. Main Quad access map.
Graduate Seating by 12:10: All graduates will be seated in front of the stage, in alphabetical order. *Graduates, please arrive in the reserved seating area by 12:00 and look for a chair with your name card on it. If you cannot find a chair with your name on it, please notify a staff member immediately. There will not be a procession, instead graduates will be directed by a staff member, row by row, to line up to receive their diplomas on stage. Photography: Gradimages will photograph graduates receiving their diplomas. Graduates will be given an order card as they exit the stage. Photographs may be ordered online at: www.gradimages.com/stanforduniversity. For a discount, preregister at: www.gradimages.com/preregistration
Food before the HumBio reception at 1:30: Between the early start at Stanford's main graduation in the stadium, and the HumBio reception at 1:30, you may need replenishment! Food and beverages are sold at the stadium in the morning, as well as at many campus cafes through out the day. Some complimentary fruits, light snacks, and water may be found along Galvez Street on your way from the stadium to the Main Quad.
