Area of Emphasis Course List
The following lists are courses grouped by area of emphasis that are commonly used in the depth requirement. Students can use these lists as a suggestion but students should explore courses widely that fit their area of concentration. Depth courses must always fit one's area of concentration. An area of concentration differs from an area of emphasis.
- Area of Emphasis: The eight Areas of Emphases within HumBio can help you gain a sense of the general focuses and different types of courses you can take.
- Area of Concentration (AC): An area of Human Biology that is defined by the student and is made up of the Breadth and Depth requirements together. Can fit into one or more areas of emphasis.
The course list below is updated annually. Last updated August 2024.
