Hi HumBio! My name is Christine, and I’m a senior from Oklahoma City, OK. I cannot be more excited to be an SA for the best (I may be a little biased) major at Stanford! I’ve always been interested in learning about human development and the diseases that sometimes go along with it and working with young children. My area of concentration is Developmental Health and Psychology, and it has allowed me to take classes about child and adolescent diseases, early neurobiology, and much more as well as work as a research assistant to a developmental-behavioral pediatrician. One day I hope to be a physician and work with children around the world, and so far I’ve been lucky enough to volunteer in service trips to Nicaragua and Cambodia! Outside of all things HumBio, I work at the Bing Nursery School, volunteer in the Emergency Dept, and was an RA in Rinconada last year. In my spare time, I also love running, re-watching The Office for the millionth time, cheering on the OKC Thunder, and obsessing over dogs. Swing by the SA office to ask any HumBio questions, pre-med questions, and anything else. I am so excited help you embark on your HumBio journey!
